Sean P. Lawler, a fellow Coast Guardsman, has designed a t-shirt in memory of BCMS Terrell Horne III, who was killed in the line of duty last month. Lawler is selling the shirts, with 100 percent of the proceeds to be donated to the Coast Guard Foundation in Senior Chief Horne's memory.
The shirts can be purchased here.
Senior Chief Horne was a true leader for the crew of the HALIBUT, the cutter he was most recently assigned to. He suffered a traumatic head injury during a marine law enforcement operation. Horne served as the ship's executive petty officer, and was an inspiration for younger crew members, as well as a top notch Shipmate, according to Horne's commanding officer, LT Stewert Sibert.
Senior Chief Horne is survived by his wife Rachel, and two sons, Kade and Miller. He was laid to final rest in a burial at sea off the coast of South Carolina last week.
