Stanley and Karen Hubbard attended the commissioning of the Robert C. Yered, the Coast Guard’s newest Sentinel class fast response cutter, last Friday, February 15 in Miami. After the ship was officially commissioned into service, the Hubbards met with crew members to tour the new asset and learn more about the work the crew would perform once officially underway.
Ensign Patrick Weaver shared that the crew aboard the Yered enjoy watching ReelzChannel on DIRECTV and had most recently watched the James Bond series of movies. Mr. Hubbard, who as chairman and CEO of Hubbard Broadcasting owns the digital cable television channel ReelzChannel, was delighted to learn that the crew enjoyed the programming offered by his network.
Inspired by the commissioning, and impressed with the crew and the mission of the men and women of the Coast Guard, Mr. Hubbard and ReelzChannel dedicated a movie night to the captain and crew of the Yered. Check out the clip below to see the shout-out and tribute to the crew.
Thank you, Hubbard family, for supporting the Coast Guard Foundation and the men and women of the United States Coast Guard.
