Coast Guard Foundation: Helping Out When Times Are Tough


This is the Coast Guard Foundation's Public Service Announcement, which has aired more than 10,000 times on TV stations across the country. The PSA helps spread the word of how the Foundation supports active duty Coast Guard personnel.

Mission Excellence in Alaska

The State of Alaska presents an extremely challenging environment for the Coast Guard. In 2010 alone, the crews of Air Station Kodiak conducted 337 search and rescue missions and saved 127 lives. Every other year, the Foundation recognizes mission excellence and heroism at our Alaska Awards Dinner. The video below was shown at our dinner in 2010.
