Your gift will:

  • Support the Coast Guard Academy Waterfront program
  • Prepare cadets as professional mariners and Coast Guard officers
  • Provide a platform for hands-on leadership training and professional development
  • Provide training vessels for the Coast Guard Auxiliary

Why it's right for you:

  • Donating your boat to the Coast Guard Foundation offers you significant advantages
  • If your vessel is selected by the Foundation, you can receive a tax deduction for the fair market value of the boat
  • You are relieved of the cost of maintenance fees, dockage fees, storage fees and insurance
  • You are spared the hassles and time-consuming task of trying to sell your boat
  • Excellent opportunity to support the brave men and women in the Coast Guard
  • Your donation will significantly enhance the program

How to donate your boat:

  1. Contact the Coast Guard Foundation at 860-535-0786 to determine if your boat qualifies
  2. Complete the necessary donation paperwork provided by the Coast Guard Foundation
  3. Claim your tax deduction. You will receive an official letter and IRS form from the Coast Guard Foundation to be submitted with your tax return
