Many Coast Guard units, local groups, and partner businesses organize runs, walks, and other activities throughout the year to participate.

One of the best ways to take part if you don’t have a local event near you is to join Team CGF (that’s our shorthand for Team Coast Guard Foundation) in the Third Annual Memorial Day Virtual Run to Remember.

Last year nearly 300 CGF supporters and partners joined in and we want to double that number this year. Teams are encouraged or you are welcome to join Team CGF.

Participating is simple:

1. Get your Run to Remember T-shirt. This year in Coast Guard orange! All proceeds benefit tragedy assistance programs thanks to our annual corporate sponsor, Leidos.

2. Run, walk, bike, paddle, swim, garden, dance, or move anyway you want during Memorial Day Weekend, May 27 – 30.

3. Share your activity on social media. Use hashtags #runtoremember #fallenheroes and #weremember when you post your activity. Tag us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or LinkedIn.

4. Take a photo and share. You can direct message a photo of you or your group in your Run to Remember T-Shirt on all social media platforms or send it to Sage Williams at swilliams@coastguardfoundation.org.

Order your T-Shirt by Monday, May 23, for delivery by Friday, May 27.
