Coffee For Coasties: Coast Guard Base Ketchikan
In August, Woman's World magazine announced they were seeking donations of coffee gift cards for the Coast Guard Foundation to circulate to Coast Guard units across the country, and after distributing to grateful Coasties we received these great photos from Coast Guard Base Ketchikan in Alaska.
The station’s leadership presented the gift cards to members during a ceremony at the small boat station. Base Ketchikan is one of three small boat stations in Alaska with its area of operation covering over 10,000 nautical miles of coastline and is home to some of the roughest waters in Southeast Alaska.
This kind of morale support makes a real difference to Coast Guard members standing the watch around the country. If you would like to buy an American hero an Americano you can mail your gift cards to: Coast Guard Foundation, 394 Taugwonk Rd., Stonington, CT 06378.
