Golfing for Education
The Coast Guard Foundation is excited to announce two upcoming golf tournaments in May 2025 that raise funds for scholarships to benefit the children of Coast Guard personnel. These events offer participants an enjoyable day of golf while supporting the higher education goals of Coast Guard families.
The first event, the New York/New Jersey Scholarship Golf Tournament, is scheduled for Monday, May 5, at the South Shore Golf Course on Staten Island. This tournament brings together local Coast Guard members, industry partners, and community supporters for a day of friendly competition, networking opportunities, and the satisfaction of making a positive impact for Coast Guard families.
Later in the month, the Washington D.C. Scholarship Golf Tournament will take place on Monday, May 19. The event is hosted at the Army-Navy Country Club in Fairfax, Virginia. Golfers of all skill levels are invited to participate, with various sponsorship packages available to support the cause.
For detailed information on sponsorships and registration for the two events, please contact Becky Ketterhagen at BKetterhagen@coastguardfoundation.org or 860-457-1413. You can register a foursome, or as an individual golfer and we will place you in a group. Additional opportunities for support include sponsoring a tee, tournament apparel, awards luncheon, swag bags, and a beverage cart.
Golfers and sponsors who participate in our tournaments play a vital role in supporting the educational goals of Coast Guard families. The funds raised go to our scholarship programs that enable students to attend college or technical school and achieve their academic dreams.
Thank you to all participants and sponsors for their generous contributions; we look forward to the two successful golf tournaments in May.
