About the Coast Guard Foundation’s emergency disaster relief program: Through our partnership with the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association (CPOA), we distribute financial relief to Coast Guard families impacted by natural disasters. Once the storms subside, we collaborate with local Coast Guard leadership to provide morale support for the units that responded. This support provides opportunity for repairing and restoring the physical spaces where Coast Guard members live and work, and builds community and health/wellness for those impacted.
About the CPOA: The Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers Association is unique among service organizations in that it was created by the Chiefs, of the Chiefs, and for the Chiefs of the United States Coast Guard. The CPOA serves the Coast Guard through a united network of over 10,000 members and works to advance the interests of its membership through community service, scholarships and fundraising, and by partnering with military and veteran organizations.
How you can help: We have activated our emergency disaster relief program to rush assistance to families as soon as it's needed. Please make your emergency gift now so we may help Coast Guard families impacted by this disaster and stand ready to assist in future emergencies.
