May's priceless weather and plentiful camaraderie made for a day of relaxed smiles and good-natured banter, all dedicated to raising funds for Coast Guard Foundation Scholarships. With clear skies, a cool breeze, and lush greens, participants came together at the Army-Navy Country Club in Fairfax, Virginia, on May 19, teeing off with a shared mission that echoed far beyond the course, championing the future of Coast Guard families through the Coast Guard Foundation Scholarships.

Earlier this month, the Coast Guard Foundation was on a similar mission in Staten Island during the New York/New Jersey Scholarship Golf Tournament on May 5. Gathering at the South Shore Golf Course, the event was a vibrant collaboration featuring local Coast Guard members, community supporters, and industry partners. Motivated by the cause of military scholarships, golfers engaged in friendly yet competitive rounds, strengthening networks and stories, all while contributing to the educational futures of aspiring children of U.S. Coast Guard families.

Funds raised from these tournaments are directly invested in scholarships for Coast Guard children, offering students the opportunity to pursue higher education in colleges and technical schools nationwide. This steadfast commitment to education strengthens families within the U.S. Coast Guard, whose members are dedicated to service and national security.

Thank you to all the sponsors and participants from both the D.C. and NY tournaments. Your generosity fuels the Coast Guard Foundation's mission, ensuring that CG Foundation Scholarships continue to pave the path for the next generation of leaders and innovators.

Special thanks to lead sponsors Lockheed Martin Aero/Sikorsky, McAllister Towing, Verizon, and Vets2PM, LLC.
