Supporting the United States Coast Guard in Haiti

The Coast Guard Foundation is accepting donations to our Disaster Relief Fund to benefit the Coast Guard personnel and their families who are stationed in Haiti.  Donated funds will only be used for Coast Guard personnel and will not benefit overall Haitian relief efforts.  We are working with the Coast Guard to assess the needs of the personnel stationed in Haiti and the units participating in the relief efforts and will update our website as more information is available.

The Coast Guard Foundation encourages our friends to support the relief efforts in Haiti through direct support of a humanitarian aid organization.

The Coast Guard Foundation Supports the Families of CG-1705

On October 29, 2009, the Coast Guard suffered the tragic loss of a Coast Guard C-130 (CG-1705) led by a crew of seven Coast Guard members from Air Station Sacramento in California.

The Coast Guard Foundation’s Family Disaster Relief Fund provides emergency assistance to families that have lost a service member in the line of duty.  It is our hope that we can provide support and comfort to these families- and others in the future- who are experiencing difficult life-altering events such as this.

To support the families through the Family Disaster Relief Fund, assist with the memorial service for the seven crewmembers at Air Station Sacramento, or provide for their children’s higher education needs through the Fallen Heroes Scholarship Fund, please click here to be directed to our online giving page for this cause, or click on the “Donate Now” button to the right.

Contributions may also be sent to the Coast Guard Foundation Office at 394 Taugwonk

Are You One in a Million?

In conjunction with our 40th anniversary of service to the United States Coast Guard, we are launching the Are You One In A Million? Campaign at one-in-a-million-rescued.org

The Coast Guard has rescued more than one million people since it was established in 1790. Honoring the heroic efforts of the service men and women throughout history, the Foundation's Are You One In A Million? project strives to capture and highlight the unique and diverse stories and personal impact of over a million successful missions of bravery and courage.

For forty years, the Coast Guard Foundation has been committed to supporting important projects and programs that seek to improve the lives of Coast Guard members and their families.  In celebration of our service to the Coast Guard and in honor of the proud history of its heroic rescues, the Foundation's Are You One In A Million? project will collect and share powerful stories about the role America's maritime guardians have played in saving over a million lives.
