Coast Guard Members
As the Coast Guard evolves, advanced education, technical training, and professional certifications are increasingly important for career growth and mission readiness. While members can access the G.I. Bill and Coast Guard tuition assistance, those programs do not always cover the full cost of coursework, books, fees, licensing, or specialized training.
The Coast Guard Foundation helps close those gaps through education grants that support workforce development and continuing education. This assistance helps members pursue degrees, certifications, and career-building training that strengthen their effectiveness in service today while preparing them for civilian careers in the future.
Whether a member is studying information technology, cybersecurity, maritime leadership, or another specialized field, these grants help reduce financial stress and make educational goals more attainable. By investing in member education, the Foundation helps Coast Guard professionals build skills, expand opportunities, and serve with greater confidence.
In 2025, the Foundation provided 482 grants to members for workforce development and education, helping Coast Guard personnel continue learning, growing, and preparing for long-term success.
