Youth Enrichment
The Coast Guard Foundation’s youth enrichment program helps Coast Guard children access opportunities that support growth, confidence, and connection outside the classroom. Military family life can bring frequent moves, changing schools, and long periods of separation from a parent. Youth enrichment grants help children build stability and resilience through positive summer and educational experiences.
These grants support summer camps and access to technology that encourages learning beyond the school day. Whether a child is attending a marine biology camp, a sailing program, or another enriching experience, these opportunities help develop new skills, strengthen social connections, and encourage curiosity and confidence.
In 2025, the Foundation provided 921 youth enrichment program grants and distributed $416,000 to Coast Guard families for summer camps. These experiences give children a chance to explore interests, make friends, and thrive academically and socially, even amid the unique challenges of Coast Guard life.
The impact of these grants is both immediate and lasting. They offer children joyful, memorable experiences while helping families feel supported by a community that understands the demands of service. By investing in youth enrichment, the Foundation helps strengthen not only Coast Guard children, but the resilience of the entire Coast Guard family.
